Thanks to whoever nominated me. 8/20/13 Vehicle accident on Highway 22 east of Kiwi Ave. One subject states her hand hurts and the other subject is trapped. Roadway is partially blocked. He is unsure which di- rection they went or if it is a male or female driver. Documentation only at this time. 8/21/13 Wellman caller reports a dis- turbing letter was placed on her vehicle over night. Letter was an edited version of a letter sent out by the city. Extra patrol requested. Kalona caller reports the sub- ject from lot 7 is looking through things in the neighbor's yards. Subject had not looked in any ve- hicles or looked through other people's property. Two vehicle accident at Well- man Family Practice parking lot. One female subject is complaining of back pain. Wellman caller reports there is a small, early elementary aged boy walking alone, east bound on Highway 22 east of Mid-Prairie high school. The boy is carrying a backpack. Unable to locate. Wellman caller reports several people are on her property throw- ing things around. There was a loud boom and a sign of some sort was left in her yard. 8/22/13 Wellman caller reports that sometime last night, someone took two large flower pots from her yard and placed them in the neighbor's yard. Caller reports a possible assault that occurred in October of 2011 in Wellman. Requests to speak with a deputy. Kalona caller reports locating some suspicious items near the creek bridge at B Ave and 3rd St. Report of a possible intoxicat- ed driver leaving JW's in Kalona headed east on Highway 22. Caller reports a passenger car is on fire just south of the English River Bridge on Vie Ave. Riverside fire responded. Arrested Christopher Robert Ewalt of Wellman for possession of controlled substance 2nd. Bond $1,000. Kalona caller reports a custom- er came into the store and report- ed that a truck backed into her car. Report of an intoxicated female at the Casino. Request a deputy. Officer reports being with a sub- ject who is possibly driving while intoxicated. Arrested Zachary Paul Chalupa, Riverside for driv- ing while intoxicated. 8/25/13 Caller reports a dog locked in a parked vehicle for at least two hours in Riverside. Caller advised the windows are open a small amount. Owner Jacob Tyler Jones of Missouri cited for animal ne- glect. Caller reports a vehicle just went north on 5th Street in Kalo- na with a small child sitting on driver's lap and 3-4 other kids in the vehicle without seat belts. Left a voicemail for the female owner of vehicle advising her of the com- plaint.
