Mrs. Janice Berger moved to accept the abstract of election from the Washington County Board of Supervisors: Director to fill vacancy (one-year term) Total ballots cast 1386 Tracy Anderson 663 Lowell Gingerich 315 Lynette Harlsock 408 Director for three-year terms Joel Brokaw 274 Doyle Geyer 694 Roger L. The oath of office as directors of rite Mid- Prairie Community School District was administered to Trcy Anderson, Doyle Geyer, Joel Griffith, and Robert Schneider by rite Board Secretary. Doug Yotty reported the Latchkey program t Kalon Elementary has 35 students enrolled and should bring $200.00 to $300.00 in revenues over expenses each month. Mr. Roger Greiner moved to adjourn rite meeting. Seconded by John McCrory. All present voted aye. Motion carried. Plaques were given to Board members, Roger Greiner, John McCrory, Bonnie Tindal, and Lynette Hrtsock for their years of service to the Mid-Prairie School District. Board Secretary, Doug Siaubangh, called the organizational meeting to order. Roll call: Tracy Anderson; present, Janice Berger; present, Doyle Geyer; present, Joel Griffith; present, Shirleen Huber; present, Doug Powell; present, Robert Schneider; present. Nominations for president of the Board of Directors: Mrs. Janice Berger nominated Shirleen Huber to be President of the Board for the 1993-94 school yea. Mr. Joel Griffith nominated Tracy Anderson to be President of the Board fur the 1993-94 school year. Mrs. Jnice Berger moved the nominations for president cease and paper ballots be cast. Seconded by Shirleen Huber. All present voted aye. Motion carried. Ballots cast: Doyle Geyer voted for Traey Anderson Trcy Anderson voted for Tracy Joel Griffith voted for Tracy Robert Schneider voted for Shirleen Huber Shirleen Huber voted for Shideen Huber Janice Berger voted for Shirleen Huber Neither nominee received a nmjority vote, so the Board decided to have the election for officers at the next Board meeting. Mrs. Shirleen Huber pres!ded over the remainder of the meeting. Open forum: Pat Anderson expressed her concern about the language used on the football poster that was sold t the last football game. The poster had a h~i;tlng that said, "We don~ take no crap." Mrs. Anderson said this type of grammar should not be used on school poster as it gives a negative image on the school's English curriculum. Business manager, Doug Slaubugh, reviewed the 1993-94 budget nd monthly one-half time contract of Chris Huston as kindergarten aide at Wellman Elementary. Seconded by Robert Schneider. all present voted aye. Motion carried. Mrs. Janice Berger moved to approve die contract of William Nisly as transportation assistant for three hours per day.
