ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:
It’s time again for the Lone Tree library’s spring book fair, sponsored by Scholastic Books. The sale is being held in the school’s library through this week, Monday through Thursday, 3:30 until 7:30 p.m. each day, and again on Saturday 8:30 a.m. until noon. The sale is open to the community and the public. Running the sale are Stephanie Callan, the school’s librarian since 2004; Roy Carney, library clerk; and Nancy Braun, volunteer. The sale offers a “buy one get one” option on children’s books. Lone Tree’s school library has these sales annually in the fall and spring. Callan said that the sales pre-date a designated room for library. The library room and cafeteria on the south side of the building were added in 2000. There are also other things going on this week open to the public. On Friday, from 5 to 6 p.m., the elementary school is having its spring carnival, offering a variety of activities for young children. Saturday, April 14, is the citywide garage sale day. |
