ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:

Editor:

At long last Pat Heiden’s election to the Johnson County Board of Supervisors will become a reality Nov. 6.

We have known and admired Pat for decades and are pleased that those who haven’t known her have had an opportunity to get to know her through the election process.

The listening, problem solving, collaborative approach we value in Pat has become evident to anyone who has rubbed shoulders with her for the first time during the lengthy political process.

Her dedication and industry have been witnessed as she attends supervisor meetings and participates in community events throughout our county.

We know that Pat is sensitive to interests and concerns of college students who are major stakeholders in our community. She has included them in her ongoing campaign and deserves the student vote.

From our past involvement with Pat Heiden, we can think of no one better to be a true servant-leader. With early voting underway now is the time to vote for Pat Heiden knowing that your vote puts Johnson County government and future in good hands.

These are times when our elected officials must listen carefully to learn and act on behalf of all. No one listens better than Pat.
