ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:

A Riverside building owner complained to the City Council that work on the alley behind his building is causing water to seep into the basement.

Mark Lyons told the council that the work done on the alley is pushing stormwater against his building.

The city’s engineer, Scott Pottorff from MMS Consultants, said the design for the alley is good and problems will be alleviated when the project is completed.

“I think in the end it’s going to be a benefit to everybody in there,” Pottorff said.

“It sounds like you are caught between phases, which sucks,” Councilperson Rob Weber said.
