The Mid-Prairie boys and girls track teams won district titles at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont on Thursday afternoon after strong performances throughout the meet.

Mid-Prairie auto-qualified athletes in eight boys events, with two in the 1600 meter run, and the girls auto-qualified in six events, with two in the 800, 1500 and 3000 meter runs.

Here are the Mid-Prairie athletes that have qualified for the state track meet next week:

Mid-Prairie had multiple 3rd and 4th place finishes in races expected to be among some of the fastest in Class 2A. The state will finalize the state qualifier list on Friday and release the at-large bids in each class.
