7th grade:

Rylee Vercande had a record smashing night breaking the all time 7th grade school record in the 100, winning in a time of 13.14. She also broke the all time long jump record with a new PR of 15 feet 0.5 inches. She was only .12 seconds away from breaking the 200 record as well, running it in 28.51.

She, along with Leah Bontrager, Maddie Nonnenmann, and Alyssa McDowell remain unbeaten in the 4x100, winning in 56.27. Maddie Nonnemann got her fourth consecutive win in the discus, with a throw of 70-4.

Seventh grader Zoe Fisher continues to take big chunks off her 1500m time, coming in 6th in a time of 6:29.30. Colby Brown got a pair of wins in the open 400 and 800.

The team came in second place overall, losing by only six points to 3A Clear Creek Amana in the 7 team meet.

8th grade:

The 8th grade team won their fifth team title of the season, remaining undefeated as they edged out rival Williamsburg by a mere two points.

Ana Fleming led the distance events, winning the 1500 in a time of 5:18.1, and the 800 in a time of 2:37.37. Amber Swart added another blue ribbon to her pile by winning the open 400. She was second in the open 100 and anchored the winning 4x100. Swart, along with Maddie Edgington, Ella Cadena, and Sidney Davis smashed the school 4x100 record, easily winning the race in a time of 54.71. They have yet to be beaten all season.

Tori Boyse remained undefeated in the discus, winning with a throw of 81-9. She holds the school record of 84-11, thrown earlier this season. Sophie Marshall made huge improvements on the hurdles and was able to place 6th and 5th in the 100 and 200m hurdles respectively.

"It was truly a team effort to win this meet and every point they earned was necessary to keep their team undefeated," coach Melissa Fleming said.
