June 11

Caller reports that someone stole his change at the laundromat in Kalona. Theft happened quite some time ago. He was more concerned about the kids that hang out in there. Documentation.

Caller in the 300 block of Fifth Street, Wellman, reports an elderly female was taking pictures of his residence.

Caller in the 200 block of Vine Street, Riverside, reports an accidental discharge of his weapon while it was being cleaned. Requesting a deputy. Officer will attempt to speak with a neighbor who had some damage to their apartment. Report to be filed.

Caller in the 300 block of Fourth Street, Wellman, reports suspicious activity. There was no problem at the residence.

Caller reports stolen vehicle from the Hard Luck Café in Kalona. It was taken between 2145 and 2215. Keys were inside with a quarter tank of fuel. Report to be filed. At 2357 hours, Cedar Rapids PD located the vehicle unoccupied, no keys inside. Towed to their impound. Made contact with the owner and info will be passed along to handle the processing in the morning.

June 12

Officer reports receiving a complaint of an improperly parked vehicle in Riverside. Made contact with the owner. The vehicle was properly parked when the officer arrived. Owner was made aware of the complaint.

Caller reports a possible no contact order violation in the 1100 block of Oriole Drive, Kalona. Spoke with the caller and advised there was no violation per the assistant county attorney.
