ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:

By just a two point margin over Tipton, the Mid-Prairie boys track team took home the boys title at the Highland Co-Ed meet on Monday.

Mid-Prairie scored first place finishes in the following events:

Kyle Miller in the high jump with a high of 6-feet.Terrhyn Jacoby with a 11.21 finish in the 100 meter dash.A time of 1:37.38 in the 4x200 meter relay from Peyton Miller, Grant Boyse, Quinn Schmidt and Aidan Rath. Peyton Miller with a 2:08.33 in the 800 meter run. Cary Schaefer with a 23.13 in the 200 meter dash.Zach Pettit in the 1600 meter with a new meet record time of 4:46.58A 46.13 in the 4x100 meter relay from Elmir Ganibegovic, Cary Schaefer, Peyton Miller and Terrhyn Jacoby.

Lone Tree finished in sixth place with Highland one spot behind them in seventh place.

On the girls side, Tipton took the top spot at 113 points, Keokuk second at 105 points and Mid-Prairie third at 101 points.

The Golden Hawks took the top spot in the following events:

Anna Hostetler with a 12:16.57 in the 3000 meter run.Kate Cavanagh, Moriah Brase, Kessa Jones and Ana Fleming with a new meet record of 11:34 in the 4x800 meter relay. Kate Cavanagh with a 2:41.26 in the 800 meter run.

Highland finished fifth in the team standings and Lone Tree finished seventh.
