Lone Tree finished their week with two wins out of three games, good enough to get the Lions back to a .500 record at 5-5.
Their first win came on Tuesday in a 54-50 victory over Columbus. A 29-point second quarter allowed Lone Tree to take the lead going into halftime. It was a evenly spread night for points among the Lions, with eight Lone Tree players adding points on the night and Keegan Edwards leading the team with 11 points.
On Thursday the Lions dropped a non-conference matchup with Lisbon 65-53, with the Lions struggling from 3-point range. They shot 3-21 from three on the night and only shot seven free throws total. A 21-12 fourth quarter from Lisbon allowed them to close out the game.
In the second half of back-to-back game nights Brock Smith exploded for 27 points on 11-18 shooting to defeat Winfield-Mount Union 75-70.
Keegan Edwards added 15 points, eight rebounds and eight assists while Brady Dauber added 18 points and two steals.
