The Monday, August 21 total solar eclipse is raising a lot of interest across the U.S. Discover what all the buzz is about during the Washington County Conservation Board’s “Eclipse Excitement and More” program on Saturday, Aug. 12. This family program will begin at 10 a.m. at the Conservation Education Center at Marr Park.

Unfortunately, Iowa will only see roughly 95 percent of the totality. During this program, you’ll discover why this makes a huge difference as well as where the path of totality lies and why. The program will cover the different types of eclipses from total solar to partial lunar and everything in-between.
