It was not a pretty game, and the end result was a heartbreaking overtime loss for Mid-Prairie in 38-35.

West Liberty had just 16 points going into the final quarter of the day, but they scored 17 in the final frame to force overtime tied at 33.

Both teams struggled from the field as West Liberty was 12-44 including 1-13 from 3-point range and Mid-Prairie was 12-38 and 4-18 from deep.

Mid-Prairie had 22 fouls including five players with at least three and Shae Becker fouled out in the fourth quarter.

West Liberty outscored Mid-Prairie 5-2 in overtime to win.

The game was just the second River Valley Conference victory for West Liberty, with their other coming against North Cedar (0-13).

Becker led Mid-Prairie with 11 points, Myah Lugar added nine points and Maddie Nonnenmann had six points.

M-P takes fourth quarter

Mid-Prairie and Durant went into the fourth quarter tied at 43 and Mid-Prairie came out on top with a 55-52 victory.

Powered by 22 points from Shae Becker and 15 points from Myah Lugar the Golden Hawks got their eighth conference win.

Kessa Jones had a team-high 10 rebounds and three assists.
