Mid-Prairie put up 40-plus points for the second week in a row as the Golden Hawks pummeled Wilton 40-6.

The win pushes Mid-Prairie to 2-1 on the year and pushes them into a good spot heading into their final non-district game of the season.

The Golden Hawk offense was balanced on Friday night, finding their first touchdown through the air. Brad Tornow found an open Zeb Danner for a 7-0 lead.

Justice Jones intercepted a pass on the first Wilton drive, but a fumble on the ensuing Mid-Prairie drive gave it right back to the Beavers.

Kayden Reinier had two rushing touchdowns over the next two drives and added one in the second half to push to six on the season.

Keegan Gingerich had one rushing touchdown in the first half.

The final touchdown of the night was a one-yard rush from Nathan Quinby, his second rushing touchdown of the season.

It was a dominant night for the Mid-Prairie offensive and defensive lines. The defensive line especially caused a lot of havoc for Wilton quarterback Mason Ormsby, who had to rush throws all night and had three passes batted down at the line.

The Mid-Prairie defense made multiple fourth down stops, including one on their own 10-yard line to prevent a long Wilton scoring drive.

For the second consecutive week, the offensive line was able to find second level blocks and give big lanes to Reinier, Gingerich and Quinby.

Backup quarterback Will Cavanagh completed his first career pass late in the game, a 20-yard gain to Luke Boyse. It was the first career catch for Boyse.
