ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:

Students in the Mid-Prairie school district have begun raising funds for the annual Color Run.

The annual fundraiser for the Mid-Prairie Student Boosters will take place on Saturday, Oct. 6 at Mid-Prairie High School.

“All students, pre-K through 12th grade, are asking friends and family for monetary donations; nothing is being sold,” Color Run organizer Miranda Malichky said. “There are levels of prizes for the kids based on the amount of donations they receive.”

She added that this year’s fundraising goal is $25,000.

“The is the Mid-Prairie Student Boosters sole fundraiser, and proceeds are used to support student enrichment in all Mid-Prairie attendance centers,” she said.

The Color Run begins at 10:30 a.m. that Saturday, with registration from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

A walking taco lunch will be served from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

There will be games, bounce houses and music.

In case of inclement weather, activities will be held in the indoor practice facility.
