Five first-place finishes led the Highland girls to second place at the LM Invitational at Louisa-Muscatine on Thursday, April 20.

Kelsey Hora won the 400-meter hurdles and Bailey Harmston took first place in the high jump for the Huskies, who finished with 60.5 points, edging third-place Wapello by half a point. Central Lee finished first out of the five teams with 66 points.

The Highland boys finished third out of five teams with 35 points. Wapello finished 18 points ahead of Central Lee to win the boys’ side of the meet with 99.

The Huskie boys got first-place finishes with the 4x200 and 4x400 meter relay and Trey Lasek, who equaled his season-best performance in the high jump.
