The Iowa Mennonite boys won their opener in a triangular meet between conference foes Highland and Lone Tree by shooting a 222 as a team at the Kalona Golf Club.
Lone Tree shot a 231 as a team while Highland finished third at 260 strokes.
Trevor Leyden led the charge for Iowa Mennonite and was meet medalist at 45 strokes. His teammate London Schrock was runner-up at 53 strokes.
Lone Tree's top golfer was Payton Lorack, who shot a 56 on the day. Highland's top finisher was Brady Hahn at 61 strokes.
The three schools did not have enough golfers on the day to tabulate team scores. The meet medalist was Kayla Cerny at 64 strokes and runner-up was Abby Buckman at 65 strokes.
