A wet week of weather caused the cancellation of multiple meets across the state of Iowa.

The week started off last Tuesday with the cancellation of the Iowa Mennonite earlybird, which would have featured Iowa Mennonite, Highland and Lone Tree.

Iowa Mennonite and Lone Tree were able to salvage the week, picking up a spot at the Williamsburg High School meet.

Then on Saturday, a downpour the previous night kept Mid-Prairie off of the Central College course and cancelled their meet.

On Tuesday, a soggy golf course caused Keota to cancel their meet that would have included Highland, Lone Tree and the Mid-Prairie middle school team.

No makeup dates have been set for any of the cancelled meets.

Highland, Iowa Mennonite and Lone Tree are scheduled to run on Thursday at Fairfield. Mid-Prairie is scheduled to run on Saturday at Monticello.

This week’s forecast isn’t much better, with showers and storms a possibility for much of the week.
