ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:

Two polling places (Iowa City precincts 4 and 21) will permanently move beginning with the June 5 primary election, and one precinct will vote at a temporary location this year (Penn Township, North Liberty). Three more (Iowa City precincts 18 and 7 and University Heights) will either be at a temporary site or will be moving to a permanent site for either the June 5 primary or the November election or both.

Voters in Iowa City precincts 4 and 21 and Penn Township will be mailed new voter cards this week. Voters who have moved or who get a new card for someone who does not live at their address should contact the Johnson County Auditor’s office.

In Washington County, Washington Township will vote at the same building at 1592 Angle Road SW, Kalona, but the name has changed. The former Washington Township School is now called the Mid-Prairie Home School Education Center (HSEC).

For more information, contact the Johnson County Auditor at 319-356-6004.
