ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:

An early-morning pursuit Sunday by Washington County sheriff deputies ending in Riverside resulted in Nathaniel W. Scheppler, 23, of Wellman being charged with littering – along with speeding, failure to obey a stop sign, improper use of lanes, felony eluding, operating while intoxicated, no drivers license, assault on a peace officer and reckless driving.

According to Washington County Dispatch, Scheppler was stopped in the 3100 block of Highway 22 at 2:15 a.m. after being clocked going 100 miles per hour in a 65-mile-per-hour zone. He was first taken to the Washington County Hospital and Clinics Emergency Room for an evaluation before being transported to the Washington County Jail.
