ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:

G l o r i a H o c h s t edler, Hills Bank and Trust vice president and branch manag e r for the Kalona office, is moving from the area and will be replaced by Katie Miller, currently first vice president, commercial deposits officer, at the Washington branch.

Hochstedler has been with Hills Bank and Trust Company for over 21 years. Her tenure included working in the bank’s Insurance Department as an insurance agent and then as a personal banker in the Kalona office where she took care of customers by opening accounts and providing customer service to both consumer and commercial customers. She was promoted to branch manager and was very involved in the Kalona community serving in many leadership positions with many organizations including the Kalona Chamber of Commerce and the Kalona Rotary Club.

“Gloria’s knowledge of our customers and the Kalona community will be greatly missed,” said Roger J. Reilly, Hills senior vice president. “We wish Gloria and her family the best upon their move and we look forward to Katie leading and coaching our Kalona staff.”

M i l l e r joined the bank on July 2005 as teller and also worked as a personal banker taking care of customers’ needs in the Hill’s Iowa City South Gilbert office. She has worked in the Commercial Department as a commercial deposits officer.

“Katie is a Kalona native and she will bring much knowledge to both the bank and the Kalona community in serving our customers as our new branch manager,” said Reilly.
