ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:

Last year a rather large flock of flamingos joined the Lone Tree Volleyball family. They flew around town, landed in friendly neighbors’ yards and helped raise needed funds for the Lone Tree Community Center.

The fabulous flamingos provided so much community fun and team building camaraderie that they just couldn’t be kept boxed up and ‘hibernating’ in Coach Sieverding’s garage....so....they’re baaaack!

Lady Lion Volleyball athletes will be taking flocking orders now, until Aug. 1. On Aug. 1 they will begin their flight around town. Flocks are confined to Lone Tree’s city limits and they are restricted from public areas, businesses and apartment buildings.

Flocks will perch in designated yards for a 24-hour period. Those not wanting the pink feathered friends gracing their yard for a day can purchase anti-flocking insurance. Both order forms and anti-flocking forms can be found on the school website under high school volleyball, or on the Lone Tree High School Volleyball Facebook page. Checks are payable to Lone Tree Volleyball.
