ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:

In the second day of a back-to-back, the Mid-Prairie boys’ golf team knocked five strokes off of their home meet performance against Tipton. It was good enough to take second place in a triangular with Washington and Columbus at the Washington Golf and Country Club.

Posting a team score of 190, Mid-Prairie was able to defeat Columbus Junction, who shot a 274, but not their hosts. The Demons took the meet with the four lowest scores of the day and a team score of 158.

Duncan McCain led the way for the Golden Hawks with a 44 and Noah Schlabaugh was right on his heels with a 45 in his return to the lineup. The high point of Schlabaugh’s round was a chip-in birdie at the par four sixth.
