Officer reports being out with a vehicle in the 100 block of E Avenue, Kalona, in a handicap parking spot that does not have a handicap placard or license plate. Spoke with the driver who has a placard in the vehicle.
Report of a cat bite that occurred at the Kalona Vet Clinic. The kitten was hit by a vehicle and was injured. They were trying to euthanize the kitten when it bit the caller in the finger and punctured the glove. Documentation.
Caller in the 200 block of First Street, Kalona, reports a mini bus hit her parked vehicle in the parking lot by Developpe Dance. No injuries. Information was exchanged between drivers. Operator Deon Leichty of Crawfordsville versus parked vehicle.
Lifeline reports there is an unknown alarm going off at a residence in the 600 block of Pleasantview Circle. When on the phone with the homeowner, he alarm stopped. Lifeline requesting someone to respond and check the residence. Officer responded. Pan on the stove got too hot. No fire. Everything is fine.
Vehicle stop at Third Street and Fourth Avenue, Wellman. Charges pending per DCI results for possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia on Sandra Hahn, 55, of West Liberty. Subject will also be charged with driving while license under revocation.
Caller reports her son is missing in Kalona. She was driving her vehicle behind him while he rode his bicycle and she lost sight of him and now does not know where he is. Officer checked the area and was unable to locate him. Mother called back later and advised her son came home.

Vehicle stop in the 3000 block of Highway 22, Riverside in reference an erratic driver complaint. Arrested Tanner J Waterhouse, 23, Cedar Rapids for operating while intoxicated 3rd offense and driving while license barred X9.
Report of a disabled vehicle at 175th and Highway 218. No problem, driver was making a phone call.
Caller in the 3000 block of 135th Street, Riverside, reports she was a victim of an on-line computer scam. They have closed their bank account and opened new ones. Almost $600 was charged to their credit card. The bank advised them it was a scam.

Caller in the 1000 block of Poplar Blvd., Riverside, reports an ongoing issue with the neighbor’s pitbull coming into her yard. Left a voicemail for the dog owner’s to call back in.
Caller in the 60 0block of Fifth Street, Wellman, reports a subject is inside her garage taking things. Responded and subject left prior to arrival. Officer did a civil standby for subject. Documentation.
Caller reports there are approximately 10 cattle out that were in the road in the 2000 block of Highway 22, Kalona. They have now crossed to the south side. Responded and made contact with the owners. They lost sight of the cattle and will call back in when they locate them. Owners called back later to advise they got them all back into the fenced in area.
Caller reports one of his UPS drivers noticed an Amish tractor and trailer that had blown a tire west of Kalona on Highway 22. Appears to be a dangerous situation as the vehicle is partially on the roadway. Responded. Kalona Tire was on scene and assisting the driver.
Caller in Kalona reports a truck keeps stepping on the brake. Once she got around it, she pulled over and so did the truck. Vehicle is now behind her. Officer located the vehicle and spoke to the driver who’s story was opposite of the caller’s. Driver was counseled.
Vehicle stop east of Casey’s in Wellman. Citation issued to Robert James Townsend, 18, of North English for driving under suspension X2. Vehicle towed.
Caller requests a welfare check on a student in Kalona after an incident that happened while the student was in Washington. Officer spoke with the juvenile’s parent. They are aware of the incident and advised the juvenile was not home but accounted for.
Vehicle stop at D Avenue and Sixth Street, Kalona. Cited into court Steven David Downs of Washington for driving under suspension and operating with expired registration.

Deputies report checking on a subject wanted out of Washington County. Arrested Mitchell Wayne Duwa, 33, Kalona. Washington County warrant for possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine first offense and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond $1,300, cash only.
Caller reports intoxicated driver leaving the casino. Located the vehicle and attempted a vehicle stop when the vehicle wrecked, no injuries. Arrested Scott Andrew Satterlee, 49, Kalona for OWI first offense.
Caller in Kalona requested a welfare check on his friend who left the residence intoxicated and is not dressed appropriately for the weather. Responded and checked Kalona surrounding roads. He was unable to locate the subject.
Caller in the 200 block of A Avenue, Kalona, reports three juveniles are hitting their windows with balls and kicking on their door. Responded. Conflicting stories between both parties.
Caller in the 200 block of Fifth Street, Kalona, reports three juvenile males throwing rocks at the door, No description. Responded and checked the area. Unable to locate. Officer located the juveniles later on in the night and released them to their parents.
Vehicle stop at E Avenue and 11th Street, Kalona. Cited into court for driving under suspension X1, Todd Patrick Mehaffy of Kalona.
Reports being out with three juveniles. Officer gave five juveniles warning for curfew and released the juveniles to their parents.
Caller in Riverside reports a party bus with subjects getting out of hand. Responded. Bus left prior to arrival.
