Riverside Twenty percent. That was the number the Lone Tree School District shot back to Interim Superintendent Mike Jorgensen when it comes to sharing the superintendent after community meetings in both districts. Though the number was much lower than the proposed 50-50 split, or the 60-40 split Jorgensen had been hoping for, the Highland board members said they understood their counterpart’s hesitancy to commit to an even split, having never really participated in sharing agreements before. Board member Mike Golden said it had taken the board some time to really wrap their heads around the complexities involved in the sharing system. Fellow board member Lois Schneider said she believed the school board members themselves were on board and that if the people of Lone Tree saw it could work, the agreement could be made more equitable down the line.
