ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:

The Washington Area Performing Arts and Events Center Advisory Committee invites the public to join in their talent search for the upcoming event, “In the Spotlight Talent Show,” coming Saturday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m.

This years’ show managers are looking for performers of all ages and talents, including singers, dancers, magicians, actors, comedians, gymnasts, beat boppers and instrumentalists.

They encourage area students involved in speech, drama and music groups, as well as area dance and tumbling students to participate.

The WAPAEC Advisory Committee is challenging residents of the Halcyon House and the UP Home to share their talents this year.

There is no registration fee, but only 25 entries can be accepted.

Prizes include first, second and third place, as well as judges’ favorite, audience’s favorite and many more. Judges are local professional performers, instructors, or talent scouts.

Performers may register online at www.WashingtonAuditorium.org. Because of the 25-act limit, performers should register as soon as possible.
