The Mid-Prairie junior varsity football team stayed undefeated on the season by pitching a second-half shutout at Liberty to win 27-13.

With a 20-13 lead in the fourth quarter, Tobin Miller intercepted a pass on a fake punt to give Mid-Prairie the ball in Liberty territory and led to the clinching touchdown as Vinnie Bowlin plunged in the endzone on a 1-yard rush.

After getting out to an early 13-0 lead on a rushing touchdown from Kayden Reinier and a touchdown reception by Ben Meader, the Golden Hawks gave up two second quarter scores to Liberty to knot the game at 13 at halftime.

The second half was all Mid-Prairie as the defense stuffed the Liberty rush, holding them to just 44 rushing yards in the game. Mid-Prairie then started to open up their running game, with four players combining for 207 rushing yards. Reinier led the way with 20 carries for 139 yards and one touchdown. Bowlin had six carries for 28 yards and two touchdowns. Justice Jones had five carries for 27 yards and Joe Allred had four carries for 13 yards.
