A successful homecoming week was capped off Friday night with a game that saw the football team earn its second win of the season by a 13-12 margin, saw seniors Nathan Butler and Sydney Black crowned as royalty, and finished off with the dance in the high school gym after experiencing the victory.

Wednesday, the Huskie Olympics were held at the central site, but the pinnacle of homecoming week was Friday.

The entire district converged on the high school football field in their school colors to take in the homecoming assembly, including performances by the drill team, the cheer leading team, ahead of their first game in action, and the marching band.

They enjoyed skits from the sophomores and the senior homecoming court. The powderpuff game followed the festivities in the hours leading up to the game.

The entire homecoming week experience was revamped this year to try to involve the community to participate to a greater degree. The week started with parades in both Riverside on Monday and Ainsworth on Tuesday. The town was also decked out in Huskies colors as local businesses were decorated for the week.

The entire district took part in the various dress up days where they were encouraged to dress like twins, their favorite characters, class colors, pajamas, and capped it all off by wearing Husky gear ahead of the Friday night gridiron matchup.
