ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:

Popcorn season is here.

Cub Scouts in the Boy Scouts of America, Hawkeye Area Council, will begin selling a variety of popcorn products this week.

Starting this week, Scouts will take to the streets selling many of the great popcorn varieties to residents within the neighborhoods. Flavored varieties of popcorn the Scouts will sell include Caramel Corn with Sea Salt, White Ruby, Peanut Butter Cup and more.

The Scouts will sell the traditional popping popcorn, along with a mixed variety of microwave popcorn.

This fundraiser helps financially support the Scouts throughout the year with many events and activities, including camp outings, Pinewood Derby races, local museum tours and STEM events.

If you happen to miss a Cub Scout coming to your door selling popcorn and would like to place an order, call the Hawkeye Area Council Scout Service Center at 319-862-0541.

The Boy Scouts, Hawkeye Area Council, serves 5,665 youth in Benton, Linn, Jones, Iowa, Johnson, Cedar and Washington counties.
