1920 - 2017 Laurine J. Schlabaugh, 97, of Wellman, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017, at Parkview Manor in Wellman. A graveside service will be held Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Wellman Public Cemetery. A gathering time for friends and family will be held Saturday, Dec. 30 from 2-4 p.m. at the Goodwin Senior Center in Wellman. Laurine Josephine Schlabaugh was born April 28, 1920, in Iowa County, the daughter of Yost and Josephine (McArtor) Yoder. She was united in marriage to Don Schlabaugh in Iowa City on Feb. 10, 1943. Laurine was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Wellman. Survivors include two sisters-in-law: Madena Schlabaugh and Lois Schlabaugh, both of Wellman and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Laurine in death were her parents; husband: Don; daughter: Donna Karns; one brother: Walter Yoder; and four sisters: Luva Jones, Mary Bontrager, Elsie Slaubaugh and Vera Gascho.
