ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:

WELLMAN - It may have been a bit unlucky that blessings weren’t the only thing that showered attendees June 17 as they met in North Park for the first (hopefully) Annual Pop-in Fellowship Event.

Pastor Moody Colorado, of the Wellman and West Chester Methodist Church served as the de-facto master of ceremonies, leading those gathered in events and spearheading the effort, but the goal of the event expands past reaching just the local Methodist community.

“You guys are here to meet Christians, meet one another on an outdoor occasion. I don’t know how many outdoor occasions we have,” Pastor Moody said, speaking to those in attendance on the uniqueness of the event.

“I would like this to be a safe place.”

The event offered free popcorn, cotton candy, and games for those in attendance. In the spirit of fellowship, Pastor Moody led those gathered in a few events hoping to foster inter-denominational comraderie.

Patrons were encouraged to wear name tags and introduce themselves and were encouraged, with candy, to participate by reciting favorite bible verses, singing hymns, and participating in group activities with others.
