Last week, area elementary school students were given the opportunity to have a free vision screening.
Doctors and staff from Axis Vision Care of Washington visited Mid-Prairie East and West elementary schools, as well as Highland Elementary School to conduct the vision screenings on Monday and Tuesday of last week.
“This was a service that they volunteered,” Mid-Prairie school nurse Jessica Nafziger said. “They screened over 500 students at Mid-Prairie.”
Doctors Tim Courtney and Ryan Striegel, along with other Axis staff members conducted the free vision screenings for students from kindergarten through fourth grade.
