A loss versus Durant this week pushes Highland to 4-2 overall and 14th in the RPI rankings this week.

In Class A, the 10 district champions make the playoffs and six at-large teams with the highest RPI will take at-large bids.

In the current RPI standings, Highland is No. 14, which puts them in at the final at-large spot.

The playoff landscape will still change quite a bit in the final two weeks. There are three games in Class A this week acting as potential district championships.

In Highland’s district, BGM and Durant will battle it out for the likely district title. Both come in at 3-0 in district play.

Just below Highland in RPI this week are Wapsie Valley, West Hancock, Alta/Aurelia and Tri-Center.

The Huskies will need to win out their final two games at Cardinal (4-3, 0-3) and Belle Plaine (4-3, 1-2) to have a shot at an at-large bid.

The RPI reports are released every Monday by the IHSAA on their website.

The final RPI report will be calculated on next Friday night to determine playoff matchups.

The first round of the playoffs will be on Oct. 26, with games played weekly until Nov. 16.
