Iowa Mennonite, who currently has a 13-12 record, got the most favorable draw as they will host 0-14 Tri-County to kick off their bracket on Oct. 16.
With a win, they would face off against the winner of Winfield-Mount Union and Sigourney. Iowa Mennonite has a 1-1 record this season against WMU, and has not played Sigourney.
A win there would likely pit Iowa Mennonite against Class 1A No. 10 New London. The top seed in the other half of the bracket is No. 7 Montezuma.
Lone Tree will face off against Morning Star Academy at home. Morningstar, a small private school in Bettendorf, Iowa, has ony played three IGHSAU opponents this season and is 0-3 against those teams.
A win against Morningstar would pit Lone Tree against the winner of Springville and Central City. The top seed in Lone Tree's bracket is Class 1A No. 4 Starmont.
Now jumping into Class 2A, Highland will travel to Iowa City Regina on Oct. 16 for a faceoff with the Regals. The two faced off in August at West Branch's tournament with Regina winnings 2-0 (21-6, 21-11).
The winner of that matchup will face off against Class 2A No. 13 Wilton.
Mid-Prairie has the toughest draw of all area teams with a first round match against Class 3A No. 2 Tipton. Tipton swept Mid-Prairie 3-0 (25-15, 25-9, 25-17) in their River Valley Conference match earlier this season.
