For the second time Pioneer Park has earned a deficiency-free state survey. A deficiency-free survey in Iowa’s annual examination is one of the primary indications of excellence for nursing facilities.

Nursing facilities are thoroughly surveyed and evaluated on quality care, safety, environment services, administration, food service, nursing care and resident rights.

“As Pioneer Park continues to pursue excellence in clinical and service quality, I am proud of the staff at Pioneer Park as they achieve this honor,” Administrator Chris Wolf said.

“Their hard work, compassion and commitment to provide quality care to our facility residents inspire me as we execute our vision,” Wolf said.

The unannounced inspection by representative from the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals is conducted annually nine to 15 months following the prior survey. This evaluation is usually conducted by a team of two or three registered nurses and includes a review of resident’s clinical records, a through tour of the facility and interviews with resident, family members and staff.

“It takes an entire team effort at all levels,” Wolf said.” We are committed to providing the highest level of care to ensure excellent clinical outcomes, but we’re just as focused on continuing to develop strong relationship with our residents and their families.” That is why we are here. We’ll continue to work even harder to improve the care we provide to those entrusted to us.”
