ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:

Nine Lone Tree football players were given All-District honors with one player earning an MVP award.

Austin Marshek, the Lone Tree kicker and punter, earned the special teams most valuable player award for his work in the kicking game.

Marshek was 2-2 on field goals with a long of 33 yards, 27-32 on extra-point attempts and kicked touchbacks on 48 of 55 total kickoffs. Marshek punted 22 times for 813 yards, an average of 37 yards per punt. His long was 56 yards.

All-District honors went to running back Bryce Houser, wide receiver Avery Knock, quarterback Harmon Miller, lineman Tim Mills and lineman Cale Yoder.

Houser had 12 total touchdowns on 627 rushing yards and 92 receiving yards.

Knock had 25 catches for 332 yards and 13 rushes for 73 yards. Knock has five total touchdowns this season. He added 34.5 tackles on defense.

Miller was 70-139 for 1,005 yards and 11 touchdowns this season as Lone Tree’s starting quarterback. He also added 16 tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss.

Tim Mills had four tackles for loss including two sacks to add to his 34 total tackles this season on the defensive line.

Yoder was the only player to have two fumble recoveries for touchdowns including a 63-yard score against English Valleys in the last game of the season.

Yoder had 50.5 total tackles including 13.5 tackles for loss.

Keegan Edwards and Trey Shalla were honorable mention selections. Ryan Kirkpatrick won the Golden Award, given to the athlete with the most off-the-field impact.

Academic All-District players including Edwards, Ty Griffin, Will Hotz, Houser, Knock, Tyler McCullough, Mills, Cade Shield, Alex Viner and Yoder.
